A Thought on the Sabbath

Per the USA Today:

60% of Americans can't name five of the Ten Commandments.
50% of high school seniors think Sodom and Gomorrah were married.

How dare we not teach religion in schools.

You're the one who believes "Under God" should come out of the pledge.

It was more a commentary on the explanation of the poor moral state of America as opposed to any suggestion that it should be taught in our public schools - a place where, like the "under God" in the pledge, it does not constitutionally belong.

But I cannot write any further on the topic for fear of working too much on the Sabbath.

We disagree....under God belongs everywhere. No knowledge of the previous info is a sad commentary on our society.

Sodom and Gomorroah just co-habitated, didn't they? That's where we get the words "sodomy" and "gonorrhea." It's a cautionary parable about people who live together before marriage.

Also, I seem to think there was a big pillar of salt involved.
